Important Pennsylvania Opportunities

As you know, the Pennsylvania primary is coming up on April 22 where 151 delegates will be up for grabs. Also, given that PA is a closed primary, we need to register as many people as possible before the March 24 deadline. As in other states, the Latino vote will again be decisive and we need to do everything we can to make sure our community turns out and votes for Senator Obama.

Below is a list of ways to get involved in Pennsylvania:

1) Travel to Philadelphia This Weekend (March 22-23): This weekend we will be collaborating with the campaign conducting voter registration activities in the Philadelphia area. Remember, Philadelphia has the highest concentration of Latinos in the state (especially North Philly) so it is a prime area for Latino outreach. If you are interested in traveling to Philly and are from the Washington D.C. area, please contact me ASAP as we will be coordinating rides and housing with DC for Obama. Also, please indicate whether you have a vehicle.

If you are not from the DC area, please contact Cameron Monagle from the Obama for America Pennsylvania team to arrange your trip at cameron.jm@gmail.com or by mobile phone at 401-378-5655 and 603-767-4971.

2) Call Pennsylvania Voters from Home: You can get started right away in the comfort of your own home calling Pennsylvania voters! Please visit: http://my.barackobama.com/page/contact/splash/callpa

3) PA Online Voter Registration Application: In case you would like to remind your friends and family in PA that haven't already registered to vote, please send them the the following link to the PA online voter registration application: https://www.pavoterservices.state.pa.us/Pages/VoterRegistrationApplication.aspx There is also a Spanish version of the application available on this page.

Bueno colegas, I hope everyone can get involved before March 24 and if you have any general questions or inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please stay tuned for more opportunities that will become available after March 24 for PA Latino outreach.
