TX Calls and Final Push for Voter Registration in PA

Given that PA is a closed primary, we need to register as many people as possible before the March 24 deadline. As in other states, the Latino vote will again be decisive and we need to do everything we can to make sure our community turns out and votes for Senator Obama.

Also, we need your help in calling Texas delegates to the March 29 County Conventions. The last item on this email is detailed information on how you can get involved with this initiative right away. Remember, getting Obama delegates out to the County Conventions is a very high priority.

Below, please find information on how to register voters in PA this weekend, call PA voters, and call TX delegates.

1) This weekend we will be collaborating with the campaign conducting voter registration activities in the Philadelphia area. Remember, Philadelphia has one of the highest concentration of Latinos in the state (especially North Philly) so it is a prime area for Latino outreach. If you are interested in traveling to Philly and are from the Washington D.C. area, please contact me ASAP at 857-998-0820. Also, please indicate whether you have a vehicle.

3) Call Texas Delegates to County Conventions on March 29. Instructions Below -

You may have to log into your MyBO account or create a new one.

C) You will then receive a list of 20 names

It should look something like this: Scott in HARRIS 32
This means that Scott lives in Harris County and Senate District
32 - all calls will follow this format
The all capitalized name is the county

D) Click on the first name.

E) This takes you to a window with their phone number

Click on the "Look up County Convention Locations" to the right
of the name: This will open a new window with a list of Texas counties
in alphabetical order. Click on the proper county to get the location,
start time, and contact info for the local organizer.

F) Dial the number, follow the script on the screen and record the
responses.

G) We do not know who these people are supporting, so there could be
some Clinton supporters on the list. For this reason we are making a
candidate identification our first question. If they are supporting
Barack, then give them the info for their county convention and ask if
they will be able to make it. If they are supporting Clinton, then say
to have a nice night and end the call.
